If you find your steak has become brown where the meat is touching the packaging or in-between steaks this is because meat needs air to stay red in colour and it is the lack of air between the steak and the packaging that has caused this discolouration. This is called contact discolouration and will not affect the safety or flavour of the product.

really nice steak
Im surprised to see other bad reviews. I cooked this for a special occasion and it was absolutely delicious - worth the money, compared to eating steak in a restaurant. There was no fat or gristle.
Thankfully didnt pay full price - just terrible and full of gristle - more than half of one steak went in the food bin.
Good beef - bad butchery
The actual beef was lovely, but the large amount of fat is uncharacteristic of fillet steak. I also had to trim a large amount of silver skin. I trimmed 98g of fat and silver skin a quarter of the steak!. On a fillet steak I'd not expect any significant amount of trimming to be required. Disappointing.
I dont know what all the fuss is about. There must be an awful lot of bad cooks out there! Im a vegan but cook steak for hubby. He likes his steak rare and this is perfect. No gristle or loads of fat as people have said. Hubby gives it 5 stars. Dont be put off by bad reviews.

THIS STEAK WAS DISGUSTING, I AM A PROFESSIONAL FILLET STEAK COOK, MY HUSBAND EATS IT ONCE A WEEK. THIS WAS LIKE CHEWING GUM. DO NOT EVERY BUY IT. WE THREW IT IN THE BIN.
variable - 1 was gristly
I've ordered this several times and haven't had too much of a problem (sometimes one is a little gristly but still enough that is pleasant). On this occasion I'm very disappointed - one steak was fine but the other was a thick lump of gristle and fat with a few morsels of edible meat! For this cost I'll think twice before risking it next time.
